RE Bill Pintaric opened the meeting at 8:00 PM and welcomed the fourteen members and one visitor from Texas. Sandi Kryder made a motion and Carl Holbrook seconded to approve the May 2007 minutes as printed in Track. Motion carried.
The Treasurer's and Membership Reports were approved as presented. All tax returns have beeen filed with the state and federal government.
Old Business:
Our Driver's School held in April ended with a loss but our National held over Memorial Day weekend ended up with a small profit with 138 cars.
Our Holiday Double scheduled for June30-July
1 at
Nelson featuring the MAARS ROUNDS 5 &
6 KRYDERACING Events 7 & 8 promises to be a bang up affair to celebrate
the Fourth of July. Thirty entries are in
as of this date. If you are not racing
this weekend, come out and help . We always need workers.
New Business:
As printed in last month's Track, Joe and Lila, our concessionaires were to retire on July 1st. They have changed their mind and will stay on till the end of this year.
The October Double Regional sanctions are
due in August. Many drivers that attended the recent National gave a thumbs
up for the facilities at Nelson as some of
them had not been to Nelson for a number
of years. Next time you seee Scott or Kerri give them a high five for providing
us with a excellent track and grounds.
Sandi Kryder moved to adjourn with a second from Karen Counselman. Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted Tom Nutter, Secretary

Old Business:
Congratulations to everyone involved in the MARRS race from Bill Specific mentions to: Scott & Kerrie and the whole track staff Towing- specifically the “all 4 wheels off the ground” tow and everyone involved in the planning from the region. We had a huge turnout of workers. Bill saw a preliminary of the observers report:
One thing brought up was the worker turnout, as an example the corner workers were 41 strong on Saturday, and 29 on Sunday.
Bill Pintaric asked the racers present
about their weekend… insert large amounts of bench-racing here!
There were approximately 224 cars with
228-230 drivers
There was some controversy over the Saturday dinner tickets, but Sandi informed us that everyone there wanting a dinner got one. There were 375 dinners served
Our Sound meter was upgraded by Quest Technologies, at no charge to us, due to some readability issues we had on the May National and the weekend we loaned the meter to Steel Cities Region.
New Business:
Planning is underway for the October Regional
9:03 Meeting Adjourned motioned by Sandi
Kryder and seconded by Carl Holbrook.
Holiday Double Regional - Sandi Kryder
WHAT an event. 224 cars. Great weather and great racing, good worker turn out.
And it appears from various forum post that the drivers had a good and were impressed with improvements to Nelson Ledges. The women especially appreciate the fresh cut flowers in the ladies restroom. I'm sure you don't see that at any other track.
Thanks to all my chief of specialties, the stewards and ALL the workers who came out to support this event.
As stated previously in this newsletter,
there were some misunderstandings about the dinner ticket distribution,
but anyone asking for a ticket got one. We served 375 strip steak
dinners. Joe & Lila and their staff did a wonderful job.
